Peter Kiec

Hi everyone I would like to introduce myself, I’m Sensei Peter. I’m one of the instructors at the Mudokwan Tae Kwon Do Academy here to help you become a better martial artist.

I will tell you a little bit about myself. For starters my martial arts training began in May 1994 when I started Tae Kwon Do. I always liked the martial arts movies especially the ones that had a lot of kicking. I started to do my research and found out that Tae Kwon Do produces the best kickers in the martial arts world. When I saw all the flying kicks and power generated by those kicks I knew that I found something that I could embrace. Once I started to train I began to see the progress not only in my belts and techniques but I began to feel better about myself and I had the confidence to do whatever I wanted. I was no longer a skinny kid with health problems, now my body was in shape and I never felt better in my life. This new found confidence helped me do better in school and in my personal life as well.

In the summer of ‘95 I began to train Hap Ki Do and became a well rounded martial artist. Training both Hap Ki Do and Tae Kwon Do at the same time was hard but I was loving it. Every moment of my hard work was giving me a sense of adventure and completeness. Unfortunately due to some events in my life I had to stop my martial arts training and for many years I knew that a part of me was missing. I missed everything about the martial arts especially the friends that I could not see everyday.

In 2003 I came back to training Hap Ki Do and had my hard work pay off when in July 2006 after the test that lasted 10 gruelling hours the I got my black belt. At this point I knew that nothing can stand in my way and I returned to train Tae Kwon Do. In September 2007 I received my second black belt.

I don’t know what the future holds for me but I will try to pass on my knowledge to you and help you find confidence to face whatever adversity comes your way.
