Sensei Monika Czajkowska![]() Sensei Monika Czajkowska was born in Poland in 1981. She immigrated to Canada in 2002 after being accepted as a student at the University of Ottawa. Monika started training in the art of Jiu-Jitsu under Kyoshi John Therien, Under his lead she had the opportunity to meet and train with many of the world's renowned martial artists. In 2006 she was awarded with the 1st Dan (Shodan) in Can Ryu Jiu-Jitsu style. With hard work and determination as a black belt holder, Monika was awarded the title of Sensei in 2007 from the World Kobudo Federation. Sensei Monika currently is a certified Martial Arts instructor in Jiu-Jitsu. Moreover, she has competed in many local, national and international Jiu-Jitsu competitions with successful results. Her number one goal is to assist each individual in reaching their full potential. Sensei Monika has vast experience teaching children, youth, and adult classes. She is also knowledgeable in adapting and modifying curriculum for exceptional students. In addition to her instructing, she has also been regularly taking part in charity events to raise awareness for variety of causes. Sensei Monika lives by the motto “If you can imagine it, you can achieve it: If you can dream it, you can become it” coined by William Arthur Ward. |
